This beautiful pottery piece is a tall and graceful candle holder from Red Wing's 1953 Anniversary Collection, per online research.This is a very desirable shape in a popular maroon color called "luster burgundy" over "luster gray."The candle holder has a tall top section that is attached to a square base or pedestal and has a tall, flared back, a flared front lip, and a round molded candle holder inside. The glossy, deep red or burgundy with gray on the top and front lip drips into the red.Colors are richer, warmer and more of a bright burgundy red than photos can show. Holds one standard taper candle (not included).Measures 8 1/4" high, 2 1/4" wide and 5" deep from the front of the base to the tip of the flared back section. The base is 2 1/4" square. Weighs 10 ounces before packagingFrom the manufacturing process, the candle holder's square base sits flat with only a very, very slight wobble, and the top section appears to lean very slightly to the right. Very good pre-owned used, vintage condition with no cracks or chips. There is overall crazing and a little wear to the unglazed foot. Please see photos.
