Description: Rek-O-Kut T12 professional turntable. By popular demand I am selling this turntable separate from the tonearm it was found with. See my other auction for a classic vintage tonearm. This is a pro Rek-O-Kut turntable unlike the common consumer Rek-O-Kut models all over eBay. Works as shown in video. Surely needs a precision tune-up by a turntable enthusiast. I did the bare essentials to get in running—new motor start capacitor and a lube. Motor is stone quite by itself. 33-1/3 wheel when engaged is also pretty quite. 78 wheel has some rumble and I see a small flat spot on the 78 that is probably the culprit. See the end of the video where this noise is captured. Video shows how it was mounted in a plywood plinth when I found it. Plinth is not included unless you really want it (it’s not pretty). Taken from estate of a Western Electric engineer who had tons of 1950s audio and electronics equipment. This thing looked to not have been used for decades when I found it. Needs good home for someone appreciative of professional classics. I will remove motor for shipping to protect it and the rubber motor mounts. Reassembly is simple and I will provide instructions if needed.
