If the skin integrity is compromised, discontinue use and contact your clinician. It has a remoldable thumb to custom fit your patient. Will this splint accommodate tightly adducted thumbs? Yes. Unlike many other hand splints, the BendEase does not over stretch the thumb. Is this splint rigid? No. Rigid, hard splints are typically not recommended for contracture patients, especially "neuro" conditions.
