I must admit, I did not buy this bag on this site, but it is the same one. Someone gave it to me. It is THE perfect way to keep even delicate greens like baby spinach fresh! The key is though, for the people who did not have good results is that you MUST dry the greens first, and make sure your bag is fresh and dry. OH! And you don't wanna wash or dry it with fabric softener!I rinse mine, if necessary, with some baking soda, rinse well, and air dry (your dryer has fabric softener residue!). I always prewash any greens that need to be washed, like kale, then lay them out to dry in front of a fan on a clean countertop, and when they are dry to the touch, tuck them away in the bag and lay flat on top of the other veggies in the crisper! The lettuce wilted so I lost a whole head of Romaine lettuce!!!! simplygoodstuff response: It is important to dry the lettuce prior to putting it in the bag. If you bag up a bunch of soggy greens, and then seal the bag, it will lock in moisture the same way it blocks it out to keep things crisp. Dried leaves with stay fresh for long periods without going limp. By the following day that salad I had made was completely wilted. It was a waste of money. I guess I have two expensive microfiber rags now. simplygoodstuff response: Sorry to hear about your results. Make sure your lettuce is completely dry before you put it in the bag. It will lock in moisture just as well as it locks it out, so wet stuff will wilt, but dry stuff will stay crispy for long periods.
