This album was a bit of a change in style for the band with songs like 'SOS' and 'Armageddon Appetite' leaning somewhat to a new wave beat, which left classic Rez fans shaking their heads in wonder. The band however did not depart completely from their hard blues rock and roll roots and gave us some of the band's greatest rocker's such as 'Attention', 'Defective Youth'. Also the song 'Crimes' which was the band's first music video which also received moderate MTV airplay. ҉ Now remastered and faithfully restored with a LTD Collectors trading card in elite quality expanded packaging with readable lyrics and photos. ҉ 2022 marks the 50th anniversary since Resurrection Band got its start in 1972. To celebrate this historical milestone, of one of Christian Rocks' favorite bands 3 quintessential 80's albums have been completely remastered, repackaged and faithfully restored. This is the first time that any of these releases have been remastered. Each release comes with a very special limited edition print collectors trading card with UV coating. Special UV print of the band logo as well as other special features will be viewable in the background of the trading cards as well as the booklets with photos and readable lyrics thanks to Scott Waters / NoLifeTilMetal. Quality and care was also taken to provide the best possible audio, restored and remastered by Rob Colwell (Bombworks Sound). Rez Band's ministry and rightful place in Christian Rock history is undeniable. Freedom. The word we know from childhood, the dream that a country was built on. Freedom. But whose? To do what? Why is freedom important, anyway? The grim realization that freedom alone is its own jail, and no one knows who has the key. We cry for more freedom to alleviate our condition, and all we find is loneliness, division, and further bondage. We give our will to a guru, politician, a rock star. No good. True freedom demands truth, not popular opinion. We grasp at freedom through casual encounters and sensual experience. All we've done is to lose the deeper value behind the pleasure. Hostage. Every human being is hostage. The entire world is hostage to sin and its consequences. We try to run from the reality of evil, personified not only in the fearsome power of nuclear weapons and the unexpected terrorist attack, but in the evils each of our own hearts silently nourishes. There is no clever, cute, or intellectual escape. One came who announced His intention of setting prisoners free. He found freedom not in what He could have, but in what He could give. He freed the sick, the blind, the prostitutes, the deviants. They followed Him, imitated Him, believed in Him, worshiped Him, and in return changed to become like Him. In the end, they once again were hostages, but of love and life and truth. The trendy people didn't understand Him, and the religious people hated Him. But to those who had had enough of both empty religion and worldly wisdom. He offered meaning and purpose. His chains were made of love. Today it's the same. Jesus lives to free the hostage. But the hostage holds the key, and the door opens only from the inside. Open the door, and experience the reality of being held hostage by Love Himself! ҉ And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written: “The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.” Then He closed the book, and gave it back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all who were in the synagogue were fixed on Him. And He began to say to them, “Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.” ~ Luke 4:17-21 SHIPPING TO USA ONLYBuyer Pays Shipping 1st CD $3.99... each additional $1.50 CDs will only be combined with other CDs or DVDs To qualify for the combined discount, all items must be purchased together, paid for with 1 payment, and shipped all together in 1 shipment.
