The only indication it's not brand new is that the front cover/binding interface has a slight bend because the book was read. Many bindings would have put a hinge-fold here to prevent this, but the printers here chose not to, so as soon as the front cover was opened all the way (perhaps by Schmid himself to sign it), the front cover gets creased. This is a fantastic, large paperback at 14" x 11". 280 pages, over 300 plates, printed by the Stove Prarie Press in NH, stated first printing.
