There was not a belt guard in place when I bought this jointer, nor can I find any mounting holes in the machine's base.... I have just recently looked at the original Rockwell Delta owner's manual for this 1970's version of the Rockwell 4" jointer on ebay and no belt guard was provided for it when delivered new........
