So what makes this one so cool and rare? Where to begin... well, it is a true man's wrist size and square shape which is distinctive and versatile. At 40mm, it packs a clear leadership vibe. Noticeable, bold even... but still very classy and timeless. This is a kind of buy and hold for ever then pass down to your children fine timepiece for those who already have spent money on a Submariner, a Seamaster, Navitimer and want to step-up to precious metal, haute horology from a relatively boutique, high-end timepiece maker. The condition of this watch is as follows: Excellent condition as evidenced by the pictures. This is 18KG Rose Gold... I have chosen to not polish this case as that would literally remove gold from the watch. This one still shines nicely and looks great in my opinion. Because we only want timepiece customers who are delighted with their purchase, we strive to add some additional insight to help you make a great timepiece decision. With that in mind, some additional considerations about this watch include: 1. This watch is discreet at approximately 10mm thick and a size of 40mm (excluding the crown). This watch fits virtually every adult unless you have a massively big wrist. If you have a very large wrist (say bigger than 7+1/2 inches) then you will want to source a larger strap from the house of Roger Dubuis. This is an interesting and quite noticeable elegant watch with a striking white dial and bold, black Roman numerals. 2. The strap is a thing of beauty. It is high-quality, original Roger Dubuis and in black so as not to compete with the gorgeous watch case and dial. 3. 18kg rose gold casing adds some extra heft to the timepiece and of course it is wonderful to have the intrinsic value of gold on your wrist. 4. A bit more about the dial... it is brilliant and nuanced with a reflective quality on... or really through... the Roman Numerals. I am not sure if I have ever seen this done like this --- and certainly not as brilliantly or with as much vibrancy as the way this dial is constructed. Stunning. The dial rewards a closer look of appreciation. 5. A lovely and haute-horology level finished automatic mechanical movement drives this gorgeous timepieces. It is so beautiful that of course an exhibition caseback was the play for the back of the case. Rotate this one in your wrist for 30 seconds or wind it about 20 half-turns (very smooth, even sexy, winding feel....), set the time and head out of the house with a classic, timeless and very collectible Roger Dubuis on your wrist. While this definitely can work with jeans, in general, this one is for a more dressed-up outfit and most at home at important business meetings, nice dinners, cocktail hour and the best bars and restaurants in your city. I enjoy this one the most at the upstairs bar and my high-end "Chop Shoppe" with friends and soon to be friends over cocktails. 6. As I am older (mid-50's dude here...), I am drawn to easy-to-read fine timepieces. This one delivers with simply beautiful execution. I love the lack of a second hand. The business meeting, the dinner or cocktails can commence when the wearer arrives and precision to the second is best left to those who must "hurry." 7. Awesome boxing and paperwork, as indicated in the "everything picture" #2 provides extra details and key authentication collateral to protect this collectible, investment timepiece. 8. Finally, you also get a Retail Valuation Certificate which is from a major retailer (who does authentication) and specifies an Estimated Retail Value over $31,000. This watch looks and feels like a precious metal $30K+ timepiece. This watch should appeal to somebody who appreciates refinement and likes an iconic, retro style. This is a timepiece where "less is more" as the dial is pure and uncluttered. I will probably continue to wear it each about one time a month until it sells. The only exception are the black photography case and the English Bull Dog which we put in our group shots because we think it looks great.
