Description: Vintage Sadler teapot and cream jug. These two pieces are in the very desirable pattern #1955, which features a floral chintz motif, cream background and heavy gold trim on handle, spout, top of lid and around foot. The pieces are considered to be in very good condition. There are no chips, cracks or crazing, however there is considerable gold loss on the handles and teapot spout. These pieces were obviously well-loved and much used. The gilding could definitely be restored. The pot is oval, with discreet ribbing on the body. The teapot is 9 inches long from spout to handle, and 5 inches tall to the top of the lid. The cream jug is 5 ¼ inches spout to handle; 2 ¾ inches tall . We are a charitable organization seller and as such, we recycle our packing materials as much as possible. In addition, we attempt to describe our donated articles as completely and accurately as we can. In most cases we are unable to provide provenance.
