Sage SP 7100-3 - 10ft 7wt 3pc Fly Rod - Excellent Preowned Condition

Description: This scarce, factory built Sage SP 7100-3 (10ft 7wt 3pc) Graphite IV fly rod is in very nice used condition. The green sanded blank is finished in dark maroon wraps and brass colored accents at the hook keeper, signature wraps, and ferrules. The guides are bright and epoxied wraps are in fine shape. The reel seat is machined aluminum (Struble?) and looks nearly new. The full wells cork grip is in great shape as is the fighting butt, with minimal soiling. The black aluminum up-locking reel seat does have a few wear marks from reel feet. The ferrules fit together tightly and are also sound, no cracks. The rod weighs a meare 4.75 oz. The action is moderately fast with a bit more flex than modern fast action rods. This is an excellent rod for larger game fish, as a western streamer rod, suited to bass, carp, light salmon, or even smaller redfish and bonefish. Excellent performer as a steelhead nymphing rod. Includes original bag and tube. Tube shows signs of use but has no dents or deep scratches.
