Description: Beautiful cottage or farm or primitive style water jug. It's handpainted. Made by Puritan from 1936 through the 1940s. The pattern is fruit. 32oz. Purinton called it their Dutch jug. Part of their slipwear. They were a pioneer in this kind of pottery. The whole piece was cast as 1 whole including the handle. Other companies would apply their handle to the body of the item.
