They use normal house current to play. It plays I'D LIKE TEACH THE WORLD TO SING. I used these in the 80's when I made music boxes. It measures about 2.75" by 1 7/8". READ ON or do not buy this looking at the movement so you can read the name Sankyo there is a plastic hub insert to the music drum that is breaking off from age, appears to be a very clean break as shown in photos. so far it has not hindered them from playing but i need to tell you of this so you are not surprised and disappointed. i have reduced the price for this reason. if this is problem for you best to buy elsewhere. i will test all movements before they leave the shop. I have more if needed. Enlarge the photos for inspection and general idea of what you are getting. Please examine pictures carefully for condition as this is part of the description.
