They make both budget and high-end knives but put as much care and innovation into design and build with their budget lineup as they do with their high-end stuff. Basic knives with good materials and durable builds, nice designs and great functionality. Have never had a Sanrenmu fail in any way. No loose clips, pivots or lost screws. They just keep going even when put under heavy use and abuse. The 7030 is liner look with composite handles Has steel liner under the handle scales and when locked locked up when open has no blade play at all. Of a size you can forget your are carrying but of a size that will do most all you will need of a knife on average day. Only comes in at 2.2 ounces and knife that you can drop in pocket and almost goget you have Compact but of a very useful size and feels secure in hand. Operates very well one handed and a good flicker that snaps out easily to lockup. Even does a near drop close with just a little shake and operation is very smooth overall. Very good looking knife and the fit and finish are spectacular considering the budget price. Contoured and textured handle scales give a surprisingly good grip for a small knife and are attractive. Blade finish is just a nice. Great gift for yourself or someone new to knives or any knife lover from the grandkid to granddad. I do have this model in silver with a steel handle.
