Sanyo SX-150 Speaker Grill Lot of Four (As-Is For Parts/Restoration)

Description: Sanyo SX-150 Speaker Grill Lot of Four (As-Is For Parts/Restoration) Description Up for sale is a lot of four vintage Sanyo SX-150 Speaker Grill Panels that were pulled from their original speaker cabinets. What I had in mind to do at the time was to save these for a project, but that's probably not going to happen now and so I figure that these parts that were left might benefit someone else in the market for a similar replacement. The grills were very dusty when they were pulled and I made several attempts to clean them up as best as I could but just couldn't manage to get it completely clean. The slopes at the top of these grill cloths seem to be the most problematical as they were basically a magnet for all the dust that built up on these speakers for the past four decades or so. There are holes on the four corners on the wood frame for these speakers, as that's where the nails that were driven into the wood grain cabinet to hold them in place were. There's also a plastic hollowed out hole, or peg which is the stem for the Sanyo logo box that appears on the front near the center at the bottom of each grill panel. Some of these logos had some yellowing on them; which I mistook for a gold finish as I was taking pictures of them. After the fact, I gave them an additional clean with a disinfectant wipe and was surprised to see the gold color return to the original silver metallic finish. Some of these emblems have missing bits of black in the their box's backgrounds and the outline surrounding these emblems have also faded to black as well. I figure a touch up with a silver tipped paint pen might do them some justice. Some of the panels have chips/tool marks in the wood along the corners/edges (which may have most likely been caused during the removal process or were there since the beginning as a manufacturing error of some sort). The grill cloth also exhibits some loose threading in some areas but is otherwise still very much intact and perfectly usable (or reusable for that matter). The other thing that's important to note is that the bottom of each grill panel still seems to have a sticky feel to them; as a result of the original glue (which is now a residue) spread on them to help secure the panel to the wood grain cab in place. I figure that it's best not to try and attempt to remove the remnants of this sticky residue simply because the grill cloths are glued onto there by this very same substance, and so I'm leaving it as is. Each panel measures approximately 11 & 1/4" tall by 10 & 7/8" wide and has a depth of about 3/4" thick to them. I'm not exactly sure what type of wood was used for these panels (i.e. plywood or an actual grain type of wood) but they are pretty sturdy and the manufacturer stickers that were on the back of the cabs did say that they were made in the USA, so I'm guessing it must have been made from some durable high-end material at least. Either way, I'm selling off these panels in as-is condition and pricing them to move, so please be sure to get in on this deal while it still lasts!
