Description: An embossed antique CLEAR GLASS BOTTLE STOPPER. Stopper is a little over one inch (1") tall and just over one inch (1") wide at top. It originally came on an antique HEINZ 57 food bottle. This is an ORIGINAL ANTIQUE Blown Into Mold glass bottle stopper, dating back to the late 1800's - early 1900 era. Top of stopper embossed: "57" in a large fancy font. Condition: Glass stopper is in good solid condition. It has traces of stain (patina) and age wear and the base of it has the base-break, where it was broken off the blow-pipe in the glass factory when manufactured. Otherwise it has NO cracks, chips, dings, damage, etc. Age: An ORIGINAL ANTIQUE hand-blown stopper (Blown-In-Mold = BIM) with a crudely base-break from manufacturing, ca. late 1800's - early 1900's. Shipping: FREE domestic shipping. We DO ship Internationally but we do NOT insure International orders unless buyer specifically requests this and we are able to provide an insurance estimate. If an international shipping charge is much more than the actual shipping cost, we will refund the excess so what YOU pay for shipping/insurance is very close to, if not exactly, the ACTUAL shipping costs! This is important for foreign buyers to know as most of our foreign shipping charges are estimates. We do not falsify information on the Customs Form, such as a price other than what the actual purchase price is, so please do not request us to do so. We ship several times a week and your prompt payment will hasten the turn-around time. As a bottle collector for a long time we were recently going through a box of antique bottle stoppers that we purchased as part of a bottle collection. The collection was dug up in the 1960's and then boxed up shortly thereafter, until just last summer. In the box we found this Heinz " 57 " glass stopper. It is not a stopper you see too often, most of the embossed bottle 'sauce' stoppers are the aqua stoppers embossed LEA & PERRINS, that went on Worcestershire sauce bottles. I believe this Heinz " 57 " glass stopper went onto a Heinz version of a Worcestershire sauce bottle, a bottle we've not seen before except in pictures. I believe it looks similar to a Lea and Perrins bottle, but it is a Heinz bottle. Anyway, here's the glass stopper, I am sure someone has the bottle but needs the glass stopper to complete it. A great example, here it is, check it out! Terms of Sale: Our goal is 100% customer satisfaction. We put our 30+ years of experience in antiques to use in describing every item we list. Items are sold in a store front format and your purchase is a binding contract, so please don't be hasty when looking over the listing.
