Description: Jens Peter Dahl-Jensen (1874-1960) is a well known name among porcelain collectors. He worked for Bing & Grondahl and then began his own company in 1925. The factory closed in 1985. His work is hard paste porcelain and his decoration evokes colors very much in the style of porcelain produced in Denmark. His work is still sought after by collectors today. This is the scarce Dahl Jensen pair of playing Dachshund dogs, model 1257. It is of first quality (no scratch through the hallmark) and is in mint condition. As with the majority of the Dahl Jensen dog figurines, he has imbued this piece with such appealing personality as the two dogs tussle with each other. Such lovely decoration and modeling as well. Measures 6 1/4" tall by 8" long. Just beautiful! First quality (no scratch through the hallmark). No chips, cracks, repairs or restorations. Please enlarge and examine all photos carefully as they are considered part of the description. Please see our other auctions for more dog figurines by Dahl Jensen from my private collection.
