Description: Very nice vintage 1st edition copy of Scouting with Daniel Boone by Everett Tomlinson. While copyrighted in 1914 by both the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) and the author, this is the scarce original edition - as opposed to the Boy Scouts Edition with a BSA emblem on the cover. Published only 4 years after the inception of the BSA, this book helped to popularize the organization. This copy is in good shape for its age, with a bright cover illustration and cover lettering. There is some mild fading of the top and bottom lines of the spine lettering, but it is still quite legible. While most pages remain bright and clean, there is some occasional foxing. The only writing appears to be the previous owner's name on the inside front cover. The spine is in reasonably good condition, with a few pages feeling slightly loose. The final illustration in the book is the only page separated from the binding, as pictured. Overall, a completely readable copy that I have had in my personal collection for some time.
