From Wikipedia- "Durham is a town in Strafford County, New Hampshire, United States. The population was 14,638 at the 2010 census. Durham is home to the University of New Hampshire. The 6 inch diameter pewter plate shows just light signs of use and aging. There are no scratches or significant flaws at all. The plate reads in bold letters- SEAL OF THE TOWN OF DURHAM NH 1732. The wording is bold and there is a gorgeous ocean scene of a sailboat on the water with vibrant sunshine rays. The plate has 3 levels- a 3/4 inch outer rim, a 1/2 inch next rim that drops and the lower level with the image and writing (about 3 1/4 inches across). The reverse of the plate has multiple markings of the Wilton Pewter Company, now called Wilton Armetale, of Columbia, PA, USA. The markings include 2 RWP marks and Wilton-Columbia, PA (plus 2 other marks). This also comes with a small yellow pamphlet describing the best care and cleaning of the plate. This indicates a © 1980 The Wilton Company and also describes the history of Armetale and Loren Hancock as a skilled molder and craftsman. * I have numerous clothing, books, jewelry and collectible items that I am putting up for sale.
