The postcards are ANTIQUE from the early 1900s. This set shows WORLD WAR I Scottish soldiers leaving for the service, and at the battlefield. This is a set of 3, and these are two of that set. They have messages about leaving the home, and going into battle. The publisher is Bamforth & Co., a well respected English publisher. The postcards are PHOTO STYLE and in black and white. The publisher, Bamforth & Co. Ltd. (1870-1990. England and NY), is considered one of the “most wanted publishers” by collectors. In addition to nicely detailed postcards, they also published lantern slides during the late 1800’s, and later even song lyrics. Their postcards during the “Golden Era Of Postcards” (1908-1915) are sought after by collectors. These are good postcards to add to a collection because of their attractive and patriotic nature. They would appeal to collectors because of their nice designs, how they capture the artistic style used back in the early 1900s, and how they show a glimpse of life back then. They have good detail, and are pleasing to look at. Overall, a nice selection of Military World War I Greetings postcards at a reasonable price. The postcards are POSTED with as 1907 cancel date. The postcards were "Made in England", and they have DIVIDED backs. These are BETTER POSTCARDS and good for a collector. The postcards will keep their value! They are sleeved and in good condition. Regarding condition, please note that we try to remove damaged postcards from our lots, and only sell those postcards that are worth having in a collection. However, because of their age (over 100 years old!), please expect some creases, cuts, stains, paper toning, and edge wear on the postcards. We do not want you to be disappointed.
