Description: Up for sale is a beautiful set of 12 Royal Doulton Burslem 9" Dessert/Salad Plates. They can be dated 1885-1891, Stroke-on-Trent, and was made in Staffordshire, England. There are no chips or cracks, with some light wear to the gold rim. Please feel free to ask questions and thanks for looking! A bone china plate, decorated with sprays of flowers. A circular foot ring rises to a concave upper face, with a narrow border, fluted sides and a scalloped rim. The plate is decorated in Japanesque style, with gold dots and sprays of flowers mainly in pink, green and gold. The decoration is set on a scrolling floral background in transfer print. The rim is edged in gold.
