SEYMOUR CHWAST ( B.1931 ) IS AN AMERICAN GRAPHIC DESIGNER, ILLUSTRATOR, AND TYPE DESIGNER KNOWN FOR HIS DIVERSE BODY OF WORK, AND LASTING INFLUENCE ON VISUAL CULTURE. HE IS A FOUNDING MEMBER WITH MILTON GLASER, EDWARD SOREL, AND REYNOLD RUFFINS OF PUSHPIN STUDIOS IN 1954 WHOSE REVOLUTIONARY WORK ALTERED THE COURSE OF CONTEMPORARY GRAPHIC COMMUNICATION IN THE 1960'S, AND CONTINUES TO AFFECT THE FIELD OF DESIGN WORLDWIDE.
