Description: You are purchasing a: Sheila's Dimensional Wood FigurineSAN FRANCISCOReserve, LouisianaThe National Historic Landmark is a galleried home that combines Creole style with Steamboat Gothic. The home is famous for its fine painted ceilings, executed around 1860 and for the faux marbling and wood graining, now carefully restored. This lavish interior was done with the help of Camova, nephew of Napoleon's favorite sculptor. The plantation was built in 1856, on the banks of the Mississipi River, by Edmond B. Marmillion, who died the year of its completion. Valsin, Edmond's son, gave the home the name Sans St. Frusquin, which means "without your last cent" or "one's all" because of the large amount of money that was spent in building the mansion. In 1879, Archille D. Bougere purchased the plantation and renamed it San Francisco. 7¼" l x 4 5/8" h x 1"Sheila ©1995PLA01Made in U.S.A.Previously owned - gently displayed - great condition Actual item is photographed - questions...please ask before purchase Paying and Shipping Details: Payment to be received by seller within 7 days of final bid, no exceptions.
