Description: Shelley China open sugar bowl, a single piece, in the 'Eve' shape,. The pattern name is unknown to me but it is a charming rendition of flowers and leaves in an Art Deco / abstract style. Definitely Bluebells though! The background colors are white and a light peach with blue dots and a curly-que edge. Pink, green and tan are also included in the floral pattern. The number 12559 is hand written and the registration (Rd) number 756533 also appears. This number was also used on Vogue and Mode shapes. From what I could research and the Deco styling, my guess is that this is a 1950's design, although the mark was used into the 60's. This open sugar bowl measures 3-3/8" in diameter and 1-3/4" tall. Excellent condition with no damage - no chips, cracks or staining. The finish retains it's original shine! Hard to find this unusual Shelley in the states! A great addition to your collection.
