Description: ~*~Hello and Welcome to the Textile Trunk ~*~ A wonderful French Vintage wool work shirt dating from 1900-1930. Wonderful heavy ecru toned wool with a twill weave! You can see the blue and pink selvages of this fabric at the end of one sleeve and at the bottom of this charming shirt! This shirt has open pits, so it was probably worn as an undergarment in cooler weather to avoid staining during work. This shirt appears to be unused, but the fabric looks to have warmed unevenly with age.
