Short Mountain custom shop guitar w/Englemann Top

Description: Hi I measured the nut 1 3/4 and the radius of the neck which 1 3/4 also. The neck is NOT low-profile like most Martins , like the Martin D-28 Adirondack I am sold. This guitar is way better than the Martin in every way IMHO. I have stocky hands and the neck and fretboard are comfortable for me. I like 1 3/4 nut myself. Makes it easier for picking. But if the neck is too chunky and thick then 1 3/4 or even 1 11/16ths wouldn't be good. The neck is more important than the nut width IMO. I don't like thick or chunky or V-shaped necks at all. Folks look at the pictures. This guitar is no joke. This guitar is way better than my collings was and my Bourgeois by far. This beats the crap out of my Martin adi-top D28 too- Not as good as a D-42 though but the Engelmann Top and highest grade east indian back n sides are second to none It's every bit on the same quality as a Collings and sounds better with the Engelmann Top. I'll give you a full day to try it see just how amazing this guitar looks and sounds. This no joke folks. This guitar sounds amazing and looks amazing. If this had the Martin, Gibson name it would be a $4500.00 guitar easily. Quality wise it's equal to a Collings it really is that nice. Buyer pays shipping and insurance. Doug has made guitars for many many bands over 30yrs and is an expert Luthier. It's a dred with standard Martin style oval neck. Just a little thicker than the low profile ones. I have smaller hands and this is actually easier on my hands than the low-profile neck. Its a Mahogany neck, 1 23/32ths nut, Ebony fretboard and bridge, Herringbone purfling, Top grade E.I. Rosewood back & sides. An awesome beveled black pickguard. Forward shifted scalloped braces. Style "Martin 45 fretboard inlay" Full gloss. The headstock has a stunning abalone steer skull which really jumps at ya when ya see it in person. AND, Old Growth Englemann Top. Engelmann is also known as white, European or German spruce, although they are technically different species. It is usually visually distinguishable from Sitka by its creamier complexion. The guitar making world is almost out of the “good stuff.” Engelmann trees these days are so small and twisted that we get a fair amount of runout (grain that doesn't run parallel to the surface) and as a result, mismatched tops.Sonically, Engelmann has a mature tone, and yields a slightly richer midrange than Sitka, which makes a guitar sound a bit older. Old growth Engelmann tends to have a sonic attribute of smoothness or refinement to it, but the days of older growth Engelmann trees are essentially gone for now.Shipping is $149.00. including insurance. This guitar is new and the sound is second to none. The Englemann top has a sound that can only be appreciated by those who know. I take this over Adirondack any day.
