The model car is in satisfactory to good vintage condition because the head light cover is coming off, which can be fixed by gluing back into place by it's new owner. OTHER DETAILS: This GT race car in its first year won the grueling 1964 twenty-four hour endurance race at Le Mans. It can not get any more exciting to see Dan Gurney driving Carroll Shelby’s blue Cobra to victory lane. Better yet, the only American car to ever be in the World GT Championship and win at Reims, France on July 4th, 1965. The actual car took a little over 90 days to build and it took Exoto over two years to put together. This car sets new standards of detail and precision which makes it a lasting tribute to one of the most important race cars of all time. For example, the valve stems were machined out of aluminum and Exoto even went to the expense of photo etching the radiator, license plate and oil cooler. Other details I remember is the prototype was at some points in time held together with duct tape and red rag shop towels. My contribution was to double check the blue prints for the car door wiring.
