Description: The Boeing 707 is an early American long range, narrow body, four jet engine airliner. It was the first jetliner developed and produced by Boeing Commercial Airplanes Company. The initial Boeing 707-120 first flew on 20 December, 1957. Pan Am began regular 707 service on 26 October, 1958. The 707 was the first jet airliner to be used widespread, and is often credited with beginning the Jet Age. There were 865 models of various configurations produced from 1956 to 1978. The aircraft remained in service throughout the 1970's. Pan American World Airways, was originally founded as Pan American Airways and was more commonly known as Pan Am. It was an airline that was the principle and largest international air carrier and unofficial overseas flag carrier of the United States for much of the 20th century. The airline was originally founded on 14 March, 1927. Pan Am epitomized the luxury and glamour of intercontinental travel. Due to financial hardships, the airline ceased operations on 04 December, 1991. Pan Am was credited with beginning the jet age with the Boeing 707. The airline had 136 of the 707's of various configurations in service from 1958 through 1981. This particular aircraft with serial number N415PA first flew on 07 February, 1966. It was delivered to Pan Am as a 707-321 on 15 February, 1966. It flew with Pan Am until November of 1978 when it was sold to Paraguayan airline Lineas Aereas Paraguayas. In 1994, it served with the Paraguay Air Force until 2010. In 2017 it was preserved and turned into a restaurant at Hotel del Rancho located in Loma Grande, Paraguay. This 1:150 scale, detailed resin reproduction of Pan Am's Boeing 707 is a rare and difficult model to find. It requires only minimal assembly and comes with a display stand. The dimensions are approximately: 12.00" long with a 11.00" wingspan. NOTE: This is a very difficult model to find. NOTE: This is a beautiful reproduction of the historial Pan Am Boeing 707.
