This tiny chest, which measures 24” long by 14 1/2” front to back and 15” tall, looks to me like it may have been a very early period emulation of an old Louis Vuitton steamer trunk, as it has “V”’s integrated into the end designs and a very Louis Vuitton print check pattern and color on the front. The chest shows lots of age and wear and the leather side handles are now missing, but it makes a great overall antique impression. Please see my photos to have a look at this nice item.
