Sobral Terra Lagrima D'or Artist Made Pendant Necklace

Description: This necklace is part of the Terra line and is called by the same name. Astronomers from ancient civilizations such as Greece, China and India defended the theory that the Earth was flat. Today we know scientifically that the earth is round, but our perception of an endless flat expanse was the inspiration for Carlos Sobral to create the Terra collection. Terra brings together a striking series of flat jewels —with laser-cut natural resin plates—with an effect that blends hues found in rock formations around the planet. This necklace is the Lagrima D'or version and it features a large pendant with a white, gray and pinkish peach marbled motif with black and gold geometric accents. This necklace is adjustable up to 22" in length and is currently tied at 19" and the pendant is a pinch under 2.75" in diameter. I also have rings, earrings and bracelets listed in this pattern. The first United Nations Conference to address environmental degradation was held in Stockholm in 1972. Already at that time the designer Carlos Sobral was working with resin and creating new techniques and alternative products to reuse all the raw material he consumed in the production of his collections.
