Description: Ebay_Standard DIV FORESTRY SUPPLIERS Product Head--> Solinst Model 425 Discrete Interval Sampler 1.66" x 2' Description Ideal for groundwater sampling from below an oil/product layer on the surface of the water, the Solinst Model 425 Discrete Interval Sampler provides high-quality samples with minimal disturbance of the water, less cost and time to retrieve samples, and without the need for purging and disposal of purge water. The sampling process utilizes the stainless steel Model 425 Discrete Interval Sampler (DIS), a Solinst reel equipped with LDPE tubing, and a High Pressure Hand Pump that attaches to the reel for pressurizing the sampler (each sold separately and required for use). To begin sampling, simply pressurize the DIS before lowering it into the well. When the desired depth is reached, pressure is released and hydrostatic pressure fills the sampler with water from the sampling zone. A floating check ball prevents water from entering the tubing, eliminating the need to decontaminate the interior of the tubing. Once the sampler is filled, repressurize it and raise it to the surface. Use the Sample Release Device (included with the DIS) to unseat the bottom check ball of the DIS and collect your sample. The sampler can be easily disassembled for decontamination.
