Description: Singer, songwriter, guitarist and keyboards player. Born in England, Rebecca moved to Australia when she was 8 years old, and settled in Sydney, New South Wales. Hancock returned to England aged 19 to audition for ballet companies, but abandoned that idea after many years of study — moving back to Australia and joining her first band Watusi Now in 1983. She then went onto sing with Louis Tillett's 'Paris Green' and its off-shoot 'Paris Pink'. Hancock then toured internationally with Ed Kuepper (1988-89) as a backing singer and keyboards player. After a hiatus, she returned to music when Gerry Kortegast asked her to sing on his band Desert Boot's second album. Rebecca then engaged in a project of her own which was backed by The Prison Wives (including musicians: John Sandow, Nick Fisher and Mark Bradridge) for the recording of "Somewhere to Land" (2002). Hancock also released an album in 2010 "Under My Bed".
