This video monitor is a great addition to any studio or home entertainment setup. -AI It used to be in the Navy, had a sticker on it saying Property of the US Government US NAVY One of the best loved monitors for retro gaming! I've had this monitor for over 20 years now, has served me well and I haven't had any major issues with it.Sometimes the light on the buttons bar on the left works, sometimes it doesn't.Haven't had any problems with the buttons themselves. Has some convergence issues (always has). I tried to calibrate it a few years ago for the first time, I was able to make it a bit betterbut there's still some issues... see pictures*, I don't notice it and it doesn't bother me when I'm playing a game (or watching a movie or TV) though. I setup for the most common images, but different video games system have different resolutions, even the games themselves have different resolutions for the title screen and game play etc. Some newer and different models may handle this more on a digital level. Some sources are worse than others. I also never noticed it before the monitor became popular and I saw people talking about their issues and pointing them out on the internet. *I wasn't able to photograph this with perfect angles and old signals are hard to capture and sync up with modern cameras. Some aspects may look better or worse than in real life. The S-Video input on this tube looks almost as good as RGB! Some TV's are better than others... Set up for 240P RGBBefore I calibrated it the SD signal was near perfect and didn't really need to be adjusted ever but the RGB input needed an exorbitant amount of time to get just right. Now it's the other way around. I don't know about you but I like to stream old SD shows on it and downscale HDTV, so keep that in mind.Seems you can't have both worlds. I reset/ used default on all settings for the picture. I don't have color, contrast, sharpness, picture strength or any other settings turned up. Listing comes with:1. Sony Trinitron 25" PVM-2530 Professional Video Monitor 2. Remote Control3. Quality DB25 to SCART conversion cable / This is the easiest way to get RGB from video games system many output it natively using inexpensive and common cables4.
