Description: The Zarya, Dawn in Russian, was produced for only 3 years: 1959 - 1961. Just over 141,000 were produced at the FED factory, a very small quantity for Soviet Union production, as some of their camera models reached over 1 million units produced. The Zarya was a very simple, easy to use, inexpensive camera. Being very basic, it was a wee bit lighter and far more reliable as their were far fewer features to fail than the other more complex models. Has flash synch....but no rangefinder, no self timer and no film advance lever, only a knob to advance the film. Spartan to say the least. This one is in excellent condition. It is clean, all features work, the vulcanite is shiny black, the controls/focusing work smoothly and easily. The cloth focal plane shutter is in excellent condition, all shutter speeds work. Comes with lens cap and take-up spool. Unfortunately there is no case or instruction booklet. Shipping via UPS or USP at sellers option. Returnable ONLY if my description is inaccurate. Thanks for looking.
