This is a beautiful vintage brooch by the French designer Maryse Blanchard. Dating from the 1950’s, this lovely brooch is typical of the work of Maryse Blanchard, with her specific settings and large decorative prongs and high quality glass stones. It is well documented that she did not have her creations signed until the early 1960s. The brooch, with unique smoky topaz color large cushion cut quality crystals and rows of Aurora Borealis Austrian rhinestones has a manufacturer’s mark Made in Austria. It is also a well known fact that Maryse Blanchard used Austrian craftsman and suppliers to manufacture her jewelry. This fabulous BROOCH is in excellent condition. It has a very sophisticated, rich & stunning appearance! Purchased out of a highly affluent Estate in Westchester County, NY. My pictures are enlarged to show quality, condition, and details.
