Description: Spectra Physics wide range pyroelectric laser power meter reading from less than 1 mW to 100 W with a fast enough response to facilitate laser cavity alignment and peaking. It responds to wavelengths from below 266 nm (near-UV) to above 12 microns (long-IR) using the same detector and an accuracy within a few percent. We've used it with all types of CW VIS and IR lasers as well as actively and passively Q-switched UV and VIS lasers, and more. You can see one an SP-405 in use in many of eBay ID 142laser's listings. The SP-405 is useful for CW and most quasi-CW lasers but NOT single shot pulsed lasers. However, since it includes an internal chopper, there could be problems with lasers having a low repetition rate (but those are not common). If you work with lasers having a wide range of power and space for the detector is not a concern, this is for you! ;-) Includes readout unit and detector with adjustable-height stand.
