Description: Standing Stone was a beloved craft brewer in Ashland, Oregon. The restaurant and brewery closed in 2021 to the dismay of locals and visitors. The place was in a lovely historic building with huge glass windows, with a deep seating area and covered patio open to the setting sun. Brothers Emile and Alex Amarotico opened the business in 1996 and later Alex and Danielle left to start Common Block Brewing Company in Medford, Oregon which is an amazing place, also in an historic building, once a Lithia Dodge salesroom. One of Standing Stone's early brewers went to work for Caldera, also located in Ashland, Oregon. This 16 ounce beer glass is a piece of Ashland's history, and recalls good food, good beer and good friends. I'm sorry to see it closed. I'll throw in a couple of Standing Stone postcards - Alex and Danielle were famous for the celebrations and events they held at Standing Stone and the clever postcards they produced.
