Stanley #4 Bench Smooth Plane - Type 19 ('48-'61) - FINE CONDITION!!

Description: This is an early type 19 Stanley #4 plane (1948 to 1961) - the "Stanley" on the lateral lever is still horizontal and not vertical - it was probably left over from an earlier type production run. All other parts are type 19, including the wood handles, which are made from that special Brazilian wood. The plane is exactly how I received it - there are no apologies. If this was ever used, it was done so VERY sparingly and well taken care of. A REALLY FINE EXAMPLE of the last of the really great Stanley planes - AN UPGRADE WILL NEVER BE NEEDED FOR YOUR COLLECTION.
