Description: Sterling silver marked Christmas apple ornament circa 1994, acquired directly from the estate of jewelry designer Linda Lee Johnson (1944-2018). Measures 2 3/4 inches in length and 2 1/2 inches in height. Comes with a red thread so that it can easily be hanged. As a graduate of UC Berkeley, she was a founding member of the Berkeley Repertory Theater and, after moving to New York, had a successful career in regional theater. In the 1980’s she studied jewelry making and Tiffany & Co. sold her initial pieces. She partnered with Barney’s in 1989 and introduced the store’s first jewelry collection. Jewelry from the estate reflects the sculptural quality and tactile finish that are the hallmarks of her designs. Please feel free to e-mail us with any questions, and please see our other listings.
