Description: Travel back in time with this old, but not that old, violin. It's marked as a Stradivarius copy made in Czechoslovakia. As Czechoslovakia was only a country from about 1918 to 1992, it's from sometime in that era. With a 13-1/8" body and 21-1/2" overall length, it's a 3/4-size violin. It's also marked on the inside as being repaired in February 1993. There's a repaired top grain crack on the top on the bass side of the tailpiece. Likely that's what was repaired in '93. Both the top and back look it's been refinished by an amateur. I suspect the tailpiece isn't original. The bridge is new. Two-piece flamed maple back. Flamed maple sides. The pegs and pegheads are in good round. Recent strings. It comes with a recent 26-7/8" Glasser bow in decent condition. The bow is missing some hair. The case is also in fine working condition, all the way around. It's a decent fiddle, nothing great. It should be ready to play. Questions? It will be well packed with plenty of new 1/2" bubble wrap and shipped in a new 32"x19"x7" stout cardboard instrument box.
