The Sugar Rush Peach Heat = A new variety that has yet to be officially tested. Heat is similar to a mild habanero. I would speculate the SHU value to 100,000 - 250,000. Flavor = Sweet, fruity (apricot, peach, and/or citrus), crispy, crunchy, with a some heat. Seeds bring a smoky flavor. The heat in this pepper is quite unique. It comes on fast and leaves just as fast. Not a lingering type of heat. A fun pepper to eat right off the vine. Look = 1-2" in diameter and 4-6" long. Often shows a lightning bolt shape. Starts Green goes yellow and ends up a peach color. Size = Plants can grow to 2-3 feet in height. Tends to be a very bushy plant. A very high producer that can give many harvests through your growing season. You may want to cage these for added support since they produce so many peppers and can lean over especially in higher winds. Uses = Good for egg dishes, along side meats, in salads, on sandwiches and much more. Great for pickling. A rare variety that is very popular at the farmer's market. Loses some of the sweetness when dried and crushed into flakes or powders. Seeds are packaged in labeled zip lock bags.
