Description: Sunny Yellow Teapot The Hall China Company USA 189 The Hall China Company was founded in 1903 and continued to produce ceramics in the Ohio Valley until very recently, after being bought by the company that produces Fiesta Ware. Based on what I’ve found about their stamps, this piece would have been made in the 1960s or 1970s, although it may have been a re-issue at that time of a piece introduced even earlier. The Hall China Company, sometimes called “The King of Teapots” is best known for their development of an unleaded single-firing process. This innovation eliminated “crazing” (the crackling of the glaze often seen on other pottery) and produced a durable, non-porous, sealed material.
