Description: We are pleased to offer for your buying consideration and offered with NO RESERVE and a special "BUY IT NOW!" price is a SWEET ANTIQUE ALL BISQUE ORIGINAL "SISTER" DOLLS WITH PRESENTATION BOX! Of GERMAN ORIGIN circa 1920, this PRECIOUS PAIR of tiny dolls are attributed to the HERTWIG FACTORY and are not only beautifully displayed in their little antique box but would also be PERFECT displayed in a 1:12 scale dollhouse or room box vignette, or to accessorize a "DOLL'S DOLL"! The set consists of two FACTORY ORIGINAL all bisque dolls including a "big and little sister" doll measuring 3 1/8" and 2 7/8" tall respectively! Each doll wears their original MATCHING ENSEMBLES consisting of a cotton cream colored sleeveless blouse with turquoise pants; both outfits are sewn on the dolls. Being part of the same family, both dolls have painted and MOLDED BROWN hair in a fashionable "bobbed" hairstyle of the 1920's, and sweetly painted faces with BLUE EYES and colorfully BLUSHED CHEEKS, but are painted differently enough so that they actually do look like older and younger sisters!. Their original ALL BISQUE bodies are PIN JOINTED at the upper arms and legs, and they have burnt orange painted and molded STRAPPED SHOES with tiny heels! Their factory original clothes are sewn on the dolls, but with the exception of a couple of small paint rubs to the back of their heads and a very well done professional repair to the smaller doll's foot (we can't tell the difference between both feet!), they both appear to be without any hairlines, chips or additional restorations! The dolls will come to their new owner in a lovely antique PRESENTATION BOX measuring 6" tall by 4 1/4" wide and 7/8" deep. The box has a LITHOGRAPHED PAPER cover with a tiny green laurel wreath design, and the colorful antique German DIE CUT of a little brother and sister accentuates the box contents of the all bisque sister dolls! For scale purposes our 13" antique French Fashion doll, not included in this offering, is doing the modeling honors to show what a fabulous display this set would make as a "DOLL'S DOLL" or showcased in your favorite room box or dollhouse vignette----perfect for a miniature NURSERY SCENE too!
