The 30" seat is the right height for 40" high bar or pub tables. The pine logs are hand-peeled and the bar stools are assembled using the mortise and tenon joinery for a very sturdy chair. Seat is made with solid pine. Bar stools are FULLY ASSEMBLED.We choose to work with lodgepole pine as it grows naturally in the forests of NW Montana and is known for its superior strength to weight ratio. It is also straighter, thus making it easier to work the raw wood into the highest quality furniture possible. Our lodge pole pine is harvested in the Kootenai National Forest via a very selective process. Skilled woodsmen select each tree with an attentive eye toward the quality, straightness and size of each specimen. After felling, each piece is hand carried to the road to ensure both the tree and the environment remain unharmed.
