Description: The 1954 American Indian Chiefs were issued in packs of Red Man chewing tobacco. The checklist and portraits are identical to the N2 Allen & Ginter iconic set of 1888. However, this larger format also includes text pertaining to the featured subject. As such, they make a great compliment to the other tobacco issues with the same checklist as these cards give a narrative and history behind these iconic Native Americans. The cards are printed on thin paper making them extremely condition sensitive. As such, only a handful exist in high grades. PLEASE do not hesitate to ask questions, we are here to help!
