About Author: Talbot Mundy [William Lancaster Gibbon] (1879-1940) was born in London, England. He spent most of the decade of the 1900s overseas in India and East Africa before arriving in the United States in late 1909. Soon, he turned to writing serials for Adventure which would continue for several decades. He has been described as "one of the bestselling writers of adventure-fiction of his day." He would go on to write 47 novels plus 130 novelettes and short stories. His most famous adventure novels were King of the Khyber Rifles, C.I.D. and Jimgrim.
