Many clients opt to add a battery function vs restoring the old works; we leave this to the discretion of buyer upon arrival.All scratches, cracks, dings, and age related separation (see back photo) are reflective of age and do not detract from the beauty of this lovely Mora grandfather clock. Because the original clock functions were so sensitive, Mora clocks were typically secured/nailed to a wall which left holes or an opening along the backs.
