ABOUT THESE SEEDS: Tangerine tiger peppers are a cross between the Aji Tangerine and Sugar Rush Stripey peppers. They are an heirloom variety that can produce striped fruits with a fruity flavor. The peppers are light orange in color and have thick walls, and can range in shape from round to long to Bishop's crown. Some say they are mildly fruity and not very hot, while others say they have more heat than all red peppers.Sow seeds in flats or pots 8 to 10 weeks prior to the expected outdoor planting date. Sow them shallowly, around 1/4 inch deep. Hot peppers, and especially super-hot peppers, have a well-earned reputation for being finicky to germinate, but you can increase germination rates by providing bottom heat (highly suggested).
