While there are slight hairline scratches on the front and rear element none go through the coating, the coatings are intact. The focus mechanism moves smoothly, as does the iris mechanism. There is no grease on the iris blades, nor are there fungi on any elements, though there is a small amount of dust trapped inside. That said, the dust does not photograph while in use. S/N - 152039 This lens was originally bought to be rehoused. It was bought by a lens tech in a rental house who kept the lenses clean and in working order. The Kowa SET R2 camera system was the original home for this series of lenses, and while the camera system wasn't popular in the 1960's, it has since found new life in the world of cinema due to its sharing the same DNA as the Kowa Cine-Prominar series of lenses, but also being full-frame.
