Description: When I visited China I visited the site where the Terra-cotta Warriors from the Qin Shi Huang Dynasty were unearthed. It was the most incredible site I had ever seen! To think that each Warrior was individually crafted by a worker. Each one of the thousands found were different. It was mind boggling! When I got home and decided that I would love to have a replica produced by one of only 3 China Government approved replica craftsmen in Xingang, Tianjin, China. I arranged to have this one shipped from China in 2011. The items that were buried by the workers were painted to look like a real person. According to the museum at the site, when they uncovered some of them the outside air started to deteriorate the paint colors so they have not uncovered the rest of them. This replica has the patina finish that some of them turned into after they were exposed to the air.They are not sure exactly how many are still uncovered, but shadows from X-ray type devices estimate thousands are in adjacent burial sites. China is a beautiful country, and the people are absolutely wonderful. China is also very affordable. I really do not want to sell this, but aging is something that will happen to all of us (darn it!), and it is time to sell it. Go to China knowing you have your own Terracotta Warrior at home. ** PLEASE NOTE- I have all of the documents showing it was legally sold to me, legally shipped to the USA, and who made the warrior, dates, prices, etc. Don’t buy one from someone without proof it’s authenticity. I live in Arizona in the Tucson area about 1 1/2 hours from Phoenix. You can arrange to see and pick it up, or I will work with a shipping service or a mover. I had it moved to new homes a couple of times. It was $200. Those moves were from one city in Arizona to another city in Arizona, but it was not a big deal. Those guys seem to know all about moving stuff of all sizes and shapes. The invoice said it weighs 396 lbs, but that was with a huge shipping crate from China around it. If you are checking prices, I would estimate 325 lbs. The movers who moved mine used a dolly to load it, and off they went! It arrived safety! THIS ITEM CAN BE PICKED UP BY YOU OR SHIPPED. ** The only shipping selection I had was freight ….but as stated above, I will work with a mover or shipping company or you can arrange to pick it up. Working with them means I will be there when they come to get it, talk to them about size and shape, etc. I won’t find someone for you, haggle over prices, give any guarantees for whoever you choose, etc. You arrange all that and I will be here for them to pick it up.
