Description: Ah, the Maestro Les Paul. From a lesser-known corner of the guitar world, but officially part of the Gibson family just like Epiphone, this blue surprise is actually a killer. These guitars were designed for affordability. They will surprise you with their decent craftsmanship for the price. Like finding a hidden gem in a thrift store, it’s got character that grabs you-re attention and won’t let go.Gibson Maestro Les Paul's feature a poplar body, maple neck (bolt-on) with rosewood fingerboard, one humbucking pickup with volume and tone controls, wrap around bridge and die-cast tuners.Gibson Les Paul's, by comparison, have come in solid, semi-hollow, and chambered models. They have come with joint and set necks; Mahogany (often with a maple top) and Swamp ash (rare) bodies; usually Mahogany necks; and Maple, Ebony, but usually Rosewood fretboards. This guitar was manufactured in China (like all Gibson Maestros). It has serial #LA907899 which seems to indicate the year it was made was 1999.This is an eye-catching guitar with the usual highest standards of Gibson quality. It shows a bit of cosmetic wear with scratches, scuffs, chips, dents, finish irregularities and dings that are to be expected from a used 25-year-old guitar. Nothing outstanding at all. Anything large would have been mentioned in the listing, but it’s all superficial. Plays and sounds great…and the neck has a great feel.Guitar will be shipped fully insured with tracking.
